On October 7, 2008 Marianna Police Department requested K-9 assistance from Apalachee Correctional Institution’s K-9 Team. The team responded for assistance and was advised that the Police Department had been involved in a high speed chase when the subject pulled over into a residential area and fled on foot. Inspection of the vehicle revealed a large amount of blood in the drivers’ seat. Sergeant Sneads and Officer Hatcher took out K-9 Man and established a track. While tracking; the subject was seen approximately 50 yards ahead of the team partially concealed in a flower bed. He was apprehended and taken into custody without incident at that time.
