Resource Fair at Jasper Old High School Auditorium
On Friday, July 31, 2009, the Florida Department of Corrections will be hosting a Resource Fair at the Jasper Old High School Auditorium located at the intersection of Chan-Bridge Drive and SR 129 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The purpose of the Resource Fair is to assist those on supervision with their re-entry into society by helping them find jobs and housing, and to connect them to local resources for health care, education, etc. While the Resource Fair is focused on assisting citizens on state probation in Hamilton, Columbia and Suwannee counties, the general public is encouraged to attend.
Local businesses, health care providers, educational institutions and community resource organizations will be in attendance or will have applications available.
The Department of Corrections currently supervises more than 121,000 people on supervision statewide.
There will be video and audio opportunities for reporters as well as interviews with probation officials.

Directions: Exit off I-75 (exit 451) and travel north on SR 129 into Jasper. Turn right at Chan-Bridge Drive at the old high school.
