Department of Corrections and Palm Beach County Receive Grant to Reduce Crime
Palm Beach - The Florida Department of Corrections and Palm Beach County Criminal Justice Commission received $750,000 through a grant from the Department of Justice's Federal Second Chance Act. Details of the Grant will be available at a press conference.

More than 1200 state prison inmates were released back to Palm Beach County last year. Inmates who receive basic education, treatment, and community aftercare services are less likely to victimize a citizen, commit another crime, and return to prison or jail.
