Ft. Lauderdale Probation Officers help Reunite Lost Child with Family
 |
Correctional Probation Senior Officer Franklin Johnson |
On April 28 at about 5:15 pm, Ft. Lauderdale Correctional Probation Senior Officer Franklin Johnson said his “father instincts” kicked in as he was leaving his probation office when he saw a five-year-old girl running down the street alone. As he turned the corner onto 29th Street, he saw she was just standing, looking around. Upon questioning, she could give her name but not her address. He called the police. In the meantime, the little girl provided her mother’s name to Supervisor Edith Robinson, who had stopped to assist. This information was relayed to Senior Supervisor Eric Simpson, who was still at the office. He provided possible addresses for the name of the child’s mother. Police officers arrived and with the information provided by Officer Simpson, they proceeded to a nearby residence, which proved to be her home. Congratulations to CPSO Johnson and Senior Supervisors Simpson and Edith Robinson for helping get this five-year-old girl safely home.
