Sweep of Probationers’ Homes Nets Five Arrests

Probation Officers in the Ft. Lauderdale area teamed up with the Miramar Police Department on June 29 to conduct sweeps of the homes of specific probationers. They were particularly interested in offenders on probation for property crimes, robbery and drug offenses.

Officers conducted 27 searches and made five arrests for weapons and drugs, including one Tec-9 Automatic Weapon, two Machetes, one Sword, seven Rounds of Ammunition, seven grams of Marijuana, and drug paraphernalia including a marijuana grinder.
