Hamilton Canine Team Locates Missing Elderly Man
On October 12, 2011, the canine units from Hamilton Correctional Institution (CI) were called to assist the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in locating an elderly gentleman who was missing from a local assisted living facility.
The missing elderly man was tracked by the Hamilton CI Canine team consisting of Sergeant William Billingsley, Sergeant Sam Bennett, and Officer Steve Folsom.
Hamilton’s Canine 'Buck' established a track in a northern direction and tracked the missing gentlemen for a little over 1,500 yards before he was found safe and unharmed.
“The professionalism that our canine units show day in and day out and their willingness to assist the public is a testament to their dedication as public servants and law enforcement officers,” said Hamilton CI Warden John Palmer.
