CPSO Steve Parkinson and CPO Stephen Rumsey
When Shaheed Timmons was recently placed on probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance, his Probation Officer was notified that the subject had a Concealed Weapons Permit. As a result, a search of the residence Timmons shares with his wife and three minor children was conducted on Friday, December 2, 2011. When Ft. Myers Probation Supervisor Brad Rouskey, Correctional Probation Officer Stephen Rumsey and Correctional Probation Senior Officer Steve Parkinson, along with Lee County Sheriffs Deputies arrived at the residence, they immediately handcuffed Timmons for officer safety and conducted a thorough search which revealed numerous items of contraband.
Among the items recovered was one Glock 30 .45 ACP which had been stolen in a home burglary of a Lee County Sheriff’s Deputy. Also found was a 12-gauge shotgun, a .410 shotgun, approximately 110 grams of marijuana, some of which was packaged for sale, numerous small baggies of cocaine, several Oxycodone pills, a ski mask, knives, a crossbow, multiple cell phones and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. $3000 in cash was confiscated by the Sheriff’s Deputies. Timmons was charged with Violation of Probation and new felony charges.
