Probation, Parole, and Community Supervision Week
Dear Members,
July 15-21, 2012 is Probation, Parole and Community Supervision Week and I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you and to recognize our hard working staff.
Every day, these staff members provide the support and resources to assist the people they supervise to get housing, jobs and substance abuse treatment. These professionals are often silent partners who don’t often get the credit they deserve, yet they spend more time with offenders than many other agencies. By partnering with community leaders and volunteering their own time, these dedicated Department employees are making a difference while faced with expanding caseloads and additional responsibilities.
With over five million adults on probation and parole living in our communities across the country, the assistance and supervision they provide help make a huge difference and keep Floridians safe.
During this Probation, Parole and Community Supervision Week, we honor the public servants for the dedication and devotion they provide to our great state and all those who call Florida home.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Secretary Ken Tucker
