Media Member! You are invited to tour Apalachee Correctional Institution and Attend the Community Partnership Meeting

WHAT: This Community Partnership Meeting is intended to bring community leaders together, to give them a greater understanding of the prison system while providing them with an overview of the Apalachee Correctional Institution facility and its operations.  Presenters will focus on Apalachee Correctional Institutions’ extensive efforts to prepare inmates educationally, socially and vocationally for re-entry into society.
WHEN: October 25, 2012.  The event will begin at 2 p.m. EST with an informational presentation and conclude with a guided tour of the institution.
WHERE: Apalachee Correctional Institution Training Facility

WHO: Department of Corrections and local dignitaries to Jackson County. The event is open to all media members but camera use will be regulated per security.
REQUIRED: If you wish to attend the Community Partnership event, please contact the Department of Corrections’ Communications Office at (850) 488-0420 several days before as Media Access forms will need to be completed prior to the meeting.
