Lowell Correctional Institution Hosts Community Connections Event & Graduation

OCALA- Lowell Correctional Institution will be hosting a Community Connections event on Thursday, December 6, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Main Unit Visiting Park. Volunteer partners, EXTREME SOLUTIONS, will be conducting a graduation ceremony for the women that have successfully completed the Operation Launch program. Youthful Offenders will participate in the program as well. This event allows for the opportunity of bringing in businessmen and women into the institution, as well as government officials, community leaders, educators, and other service providers.

RSVP Required: Media who wish to attend the event must contact the Department of Corrections’ Office of Communications at (850) 488-0420 at least seven days before the scheduled event to submit a Media Access Form, as background checks will need to be completed. Community members can contact the institution to RSVP.
