Gulf Forestry Camp’s 24th
D.A.W.G.S. Graduation Ceremony

WHAT: The D.A.W.G.S. program brings together rescue dogs from St. Joseph Bay Humane Society with inmates from Gulf Correctional Institution's Gulf Forestry Camp, who obedience-train them. The dogs who graduate are crate trained, housebroken, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on shots and micro-chipped. They can each sit, stay, come and walk by your side without pulling on the leash. Previous dog graduates include Ryan, a therapy dog who is currently helping victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary school shootings in Connecticut.

WHEN: January 9, 2013.  The graduation will begin at 9:00 a.m. CST/ 10:00 a.m. EST.
WHO: Department of Corrections and local dignitaries to Gulf County and surrounding areas. The graduation ceremony is open to all media.
