~Attendees will get to tour the institution and get a better understanding of the facility and its operations.~
|WHAT:||This Community Partnership Meeting is intended to bring community leaders together, to give them a greater understanding of the prison system while providing them with an overview of the Gulf Correctional Institution (CI) and its operations. Presenters will focus on Gulf CI’s extensive efforts to prepare inmates educationally, socially and vocationally for re-entry into society.|
|WHEN:||October 17, 2013. The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. The purpose of this event is to provide an overview of the facility and operations at the institution level. The event will include a brief informative presentation, a guided tour of the institution, and refreshments.|

|WHO:||Department of Corrections and local community leaders and members. The Community Partnership Meeting is open to all media, however no video or photos may be taken without the prior consent and approval from Department staff at the event. No cell phones will be permitted inside the institution.|
|RSVP:||Community members who wish to attend the Community Partnership event need to contact Gulf CI at (850) 639-1000 to RSVP. Media who wish to attend need to contact the Department of Corrections’ Communications Office at (850) 488-0420 and submit the Media Access Form prior to the event.|
