Florida Department of Corrections to Hold Community Resource and
Career Fair in Rockledge to Aid Ex-Offenders with Re-Entry Efforts

~Event provides former offenders with the necessary resources and services in order to facilitate a successful re-entry into society.~

WHAT: The Florida Department of Corrections, in cooperation with R.E.A.L. Church and Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, Inc., will hold a Community Resource and Career Fair on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at the R.E.A.L. Church in Rockledge.

This Community Resource and Career Fair will match services and resources with those citizens who are striving to become productive members of society. Some services and information to be provided at the event will include assistance with employment, education, transportation, legal aid, driver's license and ID services, substance-abuse recovery, housing services, victim assistance, veteran services, and interactive workshops.

9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

WHO: Department of Corrections staff, leadership, community members, and the media. Numerous employers are expected to be present at the event to accept applications for employment.
