Fallen Corrections Officers Remembered Through Wreath Laying Ceremony

Tallahassee, Fla - In remembrance of the corrections employees who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the State of Florida, the Florida Department of Corrections will hold a Wreath Laying Ceremony on Tuesday, May 6, in Crawfordville.

WHAT: Fallen Officers Memorial & Wreath Laying Ceremony: In conjunction with Florida's Correctional Officers and Employees Week (please see Proclamation) the Department will recognize its employees who have died in the line of duty or while on duty.
WHERE: Harry K. Singletary, Jr., Training Academy (formerly the Wakulla Training Academy)

WHEN: Tuesday, May 6, 2014, 10:30 a.m.

Directions: From I-10 take Exit 199 (US-27 South) through downtown Tallahassee, the town of Woodville (US-363, Woodville Hwy) and across the Leon/Wakulla County line. Turn left onto Commerce Boulevard (first paved road on left after the County line). Go approximately 4.5 miles on Commerce Boulevard and turn right on Melaleuca Drive. The Academy will be on your left.
