Holmes Correctional Institution to Hold Community Partnership Meeting

~Attendees will get to tour the institution and get a better understanding of the facility and its operations. ~

WHAT: This Community Partnership Meeting is intended to bring community leaders together, to give them a greater understanding of the prison system while providing them with an overview of the Holmes Correctional Institution (CI) and their operations.  Presenters will focus on the Holmes CI’s efforts to prepare inmates educationally, socially and vocationally for re-entry into society.
WHEN: Tuesday, December 2. The event will begin at 8 a.m. Central Standard Time. The event will include a brief informative presentation, a guided tour of the institution and refreshments.
WHERE: Holmes Correctional Institution- Training Building

WHO: Department of Corrections and local community leaders and members.  The Community Partnership Meeting is open to all media, however no video or photos may be taken without the prior consent and approval from Department staff at the event. No cell phones will be permitted inside the institution.
RSVP: Community members who wish to attend the Community Partnership event need to contact Holmes Correctional Institution at (850) 547-8600 to RSVP. Media who wish to attend need to contact the Department of Corrections Communications Office at (850) 488-0420 as soon as possible to get prior consent and approval from Department staff at event for any requested equipment list.
