Securus Technologies, the Department's inmate telephone service provider, experienced an interruption in service when lightning struck their headquarters in Dallas, Texas. Securus is actively working to restore service, but anticipate the interruption to continue through the night. Their customer care center is also closed due to flooding in the Dallas area. The Department continues to monitor this service interruption and will work with our provider to restore service as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
Update: Securus has restored services while continuing to replace damaged equipment. Calling is available statewide, but there may be intermittent problems associated with the outage until the issues are fully resolved.
