FORT WHITE, Fla. -- A K9 team from Baker Correctional Institution located a 96-year-old Fort White man who had been missing for at least a day, authorities announced Tuesday.

About noon, a neighbor reported that she hadn't seen William Carlson at home for two days and wanted someone to go by and check on him, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office…

Less than three hours later, a K9 team called in from Baker Correctional found Carlson lying on the ground about a half mile away near Briar Path Terrace, deputies said.
