BOWLING GREEN, Fla. –The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) Office of Inspector General (OIG) today arrested Correctional Officer Sergeant Thomas Deemer following an OIG criminal investigation. Deemer has been charged with Malicious Battery on an Inmate and Submitting an Untruthful Report .
Following the arrest, OIG inspectors transported Deemer to the Hardee County Jail. The Florida Department of Corrections Office of Inspector General acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by the State Attorney’s Office in the 10th Judicial Circuit.
