Statement Regarding Fire at Live Oak Probation Office

LIVE OAK, Fla. – This morning at approximately 4:30 a.m., local authorities notified Department staff that a fire was consuming the probation office located in Live Oak at 506 Houston Avenue NW. The Live Oak Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. There were no injuries to staff.

To ensure community safety and a continuity of supervision for offenders in the Live Oak and Lake City area, probation officers affected by this fire will be temporarily reassigned to nearby offices and continue to supervise the offenders in their case load.
