Charlotte Correctional Institution’s Leadership Team Participates in Mental Health Awareness Walk

PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – Charlotte Correctional Institution (CI)’s leadership team will join the Charlotte County community in raising mental health awareness by walking 1.75 miles in Charlotte Behavioral Health’s Mental Awareness Walk on Saturday, May 7. This event aims to inform the individuals and families affected by this illness of the help and resources available to them.

Secretary Julie Jones said, “The Department has taken great strides in combating mental illness and is committed to ensuring the proper treatment and care of all our inmates. I applaud Charlotte CI’s contribution to raising awareness for this important cause.”
