LAKE CITY, Fla. –The Florida Department of Corrections Office of Inspector General last night arrested Correctional Officer Joshua Teems following an OIG criminal investigation. Teems has been charged with Malicious Battery on an Inmate and Failure to Report Use of Force.
Following the arrest, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies transported Teems to the Columbia County Jail. The Florida Department of Corrections Office of Inspector General acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office in the 3rd Judicial Circuit.
