BRISTOL, Fla. – The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) Office of Inspector General (OIG) arrested Correctional Officer Ryan Essman today following an OIG criminal investigation. Essman has been charged with unlawful compensation and introduction of contraband.
Following the arrest, Essman was transported to the Liberty County Jail. The Florida Department of Corrections Office of Inspector General acknowledges the cooperation and assistance provided by the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and the State Attorney’s Office in the 2nd Judicial Circuit.
