FDC Assault Advisories | December 6 – 18, 2017

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty.

CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. – On December 6, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Wakulla Correctional Institution.

Inmate Shayne Audain (W07373) assaulted the officers at approximately 7:39 a.m. Inmate Audain struck both officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries. Inmate Audain will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


LIVE OAK, Fla. – On December 8, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Suwannee Correctional Institution.

Inmate Zackary Peterson (P57839) assaulted the officer at approximately 9:57 p.m. Inmate Peterson kicked the officer in the leg. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Peterson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


CRESTVIEW, Fla. – On December 11, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Okaloosa Correctional Institution.

Inmate Javier Anderson (W52352) assaulted the officer at approximately 1:26 p.m. Inmate Anderson kicked the officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Anderson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


CHIPLEY, Fla. – On December 11, an inmate assaulted correctional officers at Northwest Florida Reception Center.

Inmate Deion Crews (C02954) assaulted the officers at approximately 3:55 p.m. Inmate Crews scratched and kicked the officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officers and noted injuries. Inmate Crews will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


RAIFORD, Fla. – On December 13, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida State Prison.

Inmate Joseph Ferguson (473938) assaulted the officer at approximately 6:04 a.m. Inmate Ferguson struck the officer in the chest. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Ferguson will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


POLK CITY, Fla. – On December 13, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Polk Correctional Institution.

Inmate Nicholas Washington (T18876) assaulted the officer at approximately 1:10 p.m. Inmate Washington elbowed the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Washington will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


ORLANDO, Fla. – On December 14, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Central Florida Reception Center.

Inmate Deonte Hall (H51690) assaulted the officer at approximately 1:35 p.m. Inmate Hall struck the officer in the chest with an open hand. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Inmate Hall will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


MILTON, Fla. – On December 15, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Santa Rosa Correctional Institution.

Inmate Daniel Craven (V24323) assaulted the officer at approximately 2:23 p.m. Inmate Craven grabbed the officer by the neck and chocked the officer with his left arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Craven will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


OCALA, Fla. – On December 16, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Florida Women’s Reception Center.

Inmate Simone Littles (155381) assaulted the officer at approximately 3:13 p.m. Inmate Littles struck the officer in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Littles will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


CRESTVIEW, Fla. – On December 16, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Okaloosa Correctional Institution.

Inmate David Kitt (T09462) assaulted the officer at approximately 3:50 p.m. Inmate Kitt grabbed the officers wrist and twisted it backwards. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Kitt will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – On December 17, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Tomoka Correctional Institution.

Inmate Taylor Foster (C11280) assaulted the officer at approximately 6:20 p.m. Inmate Foster bit the officer twice. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Foster will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


LAKE CITY, Fla. – On December 18, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Columbia Correctional Institution.

Inmate Timothy Williams (J41879) assaulted the officer at approximately 5:12 p.m. Inmate Williams struck the officer in the throat and stabbed the officer in the arm with a pen. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Williams will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.


CHIPLEY, Fla. – On December 18, an inmate assaulted a correctional officer at Northwest Florida Reception Center.

Inmate Ronald Lynn (N29177) assaulted the officer at approximately 8:56 a.m. Inmate Lynn struck the officer multiples times in the head and face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Medical staff examined the officer and noted injuries. Inmate Lynn will receive a disciplinary report for this assault.
