FDC Assault Advisories | May 17 - May 23, 2023

This is a report of assault advisories that occurred during the specified timeframe. An assault advisory is issued by the Department of Corrections whenever a correctional officer or probation officer is attacked in the line of duty. All assaults are investigated, and disciplinary action is imposed in accordance with policy.

Florida's Women Reception Center: On May 17, Inmate Mia Williams (Q41073) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Reception & Medical Center: On May 17, Inmate Ivy McGowan (135968) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Central Florida Reception Center: On May 18, Inmate Antwone Thomas (V32426) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Martin Correctional Institution: On May 18, Inmate Myron Williams (T76394) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Cross City Work Camp: On May 18, Inmate Gregory Mitchell (S28729) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Gulf Correctional Institution: On May 18, Inmate Anthony Touchton (Y43861) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Reception & Medical Center: On May 20, Inmate Dan Coleman (169567) assaulted officers. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Lowell Annex: On May 20, Inmate Grace Smith (P80420) assaulted a staff member. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

DeSoto Annex: On May 21, Inmate Dylan Edwards (L93690) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On May 21, Inmate Dwan Marshall (K85398) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Charlotte Correctional Institution: On May 21, Inmate Joshua Webster (E80601) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On May 22, Inmate Brandon Calloway (V26981) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Hardee Correctional Institution: On May 22, Inmate Diamonte Weatherspoon (C06689) assaulted an officer by striking them in the eyes. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation.

Reception & Medical Center: On May 23, Inmate Danny Kincaid (125533) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation. The officers were sent to receive outside medical treatment.

Northwest Florida Reception Center Annex: On May 23, Inmate Darrell Fails (I71133) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Columbia Correctional Institution: On May 23, Inmate Jeronimo Rosario (H60171) assaulted an officer. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued.

Florida State Prison: On May 23, Inmate Gerald Wilson (M50710) assaulted an officer by striking them in the face. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation. The officers were sent to receive outside medical treatment.

Hamilton Annex: On May 23, Inmate Michael Dunbar (J36085) assaulted an officer by biting their arm. Staff responded appropriately, and the inmate was subdued. Medical staff recommended outside medical evaluation.
