VISITOR CONTRABAND INTERDICTION | March 28 – April 3, 2024

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) has zero tolerance for contraband of any kind, and visitors attempting to introduce contraband are subject to suspension or termination of their visitation privileges and arrest.

Northwest Florida Reception Center: On Sunday, March 31, visitor Elizabeth Marquis was visiting Inmate Geovani Johnson (L93755) when staff discovered 35.2 grams of tobacco, marijuana residue, and ammunition. The visitation was terminated.

Union Work Camp: On Sunday, March 31, visitors Carmen Pullings and Kenya Pullings were visiting Inmate Andre Cohen (J60586) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Lowell Correctional Institution: On Sunday, March 31, visitor Norris Pender was visiting Nicole Pender (T85285) when staff discovered 30 grams of meth and two suboxone strips. Marion County Sherriff’s Office was contacted, and the visitor was arrested for the charge of introduction of contraband.

Baker Work Camp: On Sunday, March 31, visitor Jessica Harper was visiting Inmate Joshua Greene (134515) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Jackson Correctional Institution: On Sunday, March 31, visitor Elena Toyos was visiting Inmate Joel Rivera (X03588) when a K9 alerted to the person. Staff discovered marijuana residue, and the visitation was terminated.

Baker Reentry: On Sunday, March 31, visitor Ewanda Brown was visiting Inmate Rasheed Sanders (298298) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Lancaster Correctional Institution: On Saturday, March 30, visitors Allakasia Mcnair and Zachary Tubbs were visiting Inmate El Micha Mccloud (W01476) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 2.3 grams of marijuana, a marijuana grinder, a handgun, and ammunition. The visitation was terminated.

Lake Correctional Institution: On Saturday, March 30, visitor Tamara Lynch was visiting Inmate Alexis Legrand (X74395) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Holmes Work Camp: On Saturday, March 30, visitor Dominae Madison was visiting Inmate Reddrick Garrett (M31300) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered packaging materials associated with introduction of contraband. The visitation was terminated.

Holmes Correctional Institution: On Saturday, March 30, visitor Dominique Carroll was visiting Inmate Jonathan Page (E39833) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. Staff discovered 4.4 grams of marijuana, and the visitation was terminated.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On Saturday, March 30, visitor Darilyn Ellis was visiting Inmate Clinton Dunston (748162) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.

Cross City Correctional Institution: On Saturday, March 30, visitor Chameka Johnson was visiting Inmate Christopher Mcintosh (779971) when a K9 alerted to the visitor’s vehicle. A search was refused, and the visitation was terminated.
